Join Turkey Farmers of Canada in a Celebration of Canadian Food and Culture!
(Mississauga, Ontario) – July 31, 2010, is Food Day Canada and Turkey Farmers of Canada (TFC) encourages all Canadians to join in this unique national celebration of Canadian food and culture.
Our farmers are proud to celebrate alongside local restaurateurs, suppliers and consumers to herald Canada’s world-renowned food production system, culinary creativity andreputation for throwing an amazing party!
Founded by culinary expert, educator, and writer Anita Stewart in 2003 as The World’s Longest BBQ, Food Day encourages Canadians to shop locally and create a meal that celebrates the farmers and fishers of Canada. Over seven years, the event has evolved into an annual mid-summer celebration fêted by foodies from coast-to-coast, and supported by some of the top food professionals and restaurants in the country.
