EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
The Canadian Poultry Research Council (CPRC) is a not-for-profit organization with a mandate to create and implement programs for poultry research that address industry needs and concerns. CPRC seeks an experienced, professional Executive Director (ED) based in Ottawa, Ontario with seasoned leadership and communications skills. As the most senior staff officer, the ED reports to the CPRC Board of Directors.
Responsibilities of the position include:
Effective operational and financial management of the organization;
Advocacy and lobbying on behalf of the Canadian poultry industry;
Partnering and collaborating with agricultural organizations, universities, government and research organizations, both within Canada and abroad, to fulfill CPRC's mandate; and,
Identifying, recommending, implementing and managing new functional responsibilities that are necessary to achieve CPRC’s mission.
The successful candidate will have demonstrated effectiveness in leading and strengthening a not-for-profit organization, including business development and fund raising. A BSc or higher level of education and at least five years relevant industry experience is preferred. You must possess a valid Ontario driver’s licence and an insured vehicle.
