Ingredients
1 1/2 lb. (675 g) Turkey Breast, skinless, boneless
2 Garlic cloves, finely minced
2/3 cup (160 mL) Olive Oil + 1 tbsp. (15 mL)
2/3 cup (160 mL) White Wine
1 tsp. (5 mL) Black Pepper, freshly ground
1/2 tsp. (2 mL) dried Thyme
1/2 tsp. (2 mL) Salt
2 Red Onions
1/4 cup (60 mL) Balsamic Vinegar
2 tbsp. (30 mL) Brown Sugar
Horseradish Cream Dressing
1/3 cup (80 mL) low-fat Mayonnaise
1/3 cup (80 mL) low-fat Sour Cream
4 - 5 tsp. (20 - 25 mL) Horseradish, prepared white or fresh
Directions
Combine dressing ingredients and set aside or refrigerate. Slice turkey breast into 1 1/2" thick, 6 oz. portions. Mix the next 6 ingredients (leaving aside 1 tbsp. oil) in shallow container with the Turkey steaks. Refrigerate for 1 hr. Preheat barbecue (medium-high heat) or oven to 400° F (200°C). Slice onion into 3/4" thick slices, do not separate rings. Mix together 1 tbsp. oil with vinegar and sugar. Brush over onion and place on grill. Continue grilling and brushing until onion has softened (approx. 15 min.), then set aside. Grill steaks for approximately 6 minutes per side until no longer pink in centre. Serve immediately garnished with dressing and onions.
