- Ingredients
- 1 lb (500 g) Ground Turkey
- 1 medium Onion, chopped
- 2 cloves Garlic, minced
- 1 can (19 oz/540 mL) Tomatoes
- coarsely chopped
- 1 can (5 1/2 oz/156 mL) Tomato Paste
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) Water
- 2 stalks Celery, chopped
- 1 medium Carrot, chopped
- 1 tsp (5 mL) each of dried Oregano and dried Basil
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) Worcestershire Sauce
- Directions
- In a large saucepan heat 1 tbsp (15 mL) vegetable oil and sauté turkey with onion and garlic until onion is soft and turkey is no longer pink. Do not overcook turkey. Add remaining ingredients and season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 30 minutes

- Optional: Add 1/4 cup (50 mL) red wine and 1/4 tsp (1 mL) red pepper flakes.
