- 1 lb. (450 g) Ground Turkey
- 1 Garlic clove, finely minced
- 1 tbsp. (15 mL) Dried Italian Seasoning, crumbled
- 1 tbsp. (15 mL) fresh Parsley, chopped
- 1 Egg
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) Bread Crumbs
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) Pasta Sauce
- 2 oz. (55 g) Mozzarella, low fat, thinly sliced
- Directions
- Preheat barbecue (medium-high heat) or oven to 425° F (215°C). Mix first 6 ingredients in large bowl with 1/4 cup of pasta sauce. Season with pepper. Divide and shape into four ¾” thick patties. Place on an oiled grill. Grill 4-6 minutes on each side until no longer pink in centre. Spread 1 tbsp. of pasta sauce on each burger and top with cheese. Continue cooking until cheese melts (approx. 1 min.). Serve on Italian buns.
