Ingredients
1 lb. (500g) Ground Turkey
½ cup (125 mL) rolled Oats
1/3 cup (75 mL) chopped Green Onion
2 tbsp. (30 mL) Milk
1 Egg
1 tbsp. (15 mL) Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. (5 mL) dry Mustard
¼ tsp. (1 mL) Garlic Powder
½ tsp. (2 mL) Salt
¼ tsp. (1 mL) Pepper
Salsa:
1 cup (250 mL) crushed Pineapple with juice
1 tbsp. (15 mL) Granulated Sugar
1 tbsp. (15 mL) minced fresh Ginger
(or 1 tsp./5 mL ground ginger)
1 tsp. (5 mL) Worcestershire Sauce
1 tsp. (5 mL) Cornstarch
1 tbsp. (15 mL) chopped Parsley
Directions
Mix turkey, rolled oats, onion, milk, egg, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, salt and pepper together thoroughly. Pack into 6 large greased muffin tins. Bake at 350˚F (180˚C) for 25 minutes. Meanwhile, combine all ingredients for salsa except parsley in a saucepan; bring to boil, stirring constantly and cook until clear and thickened. Stir in parsley. (Thin with water if too thick.) Serve warm salsa over loaves. Serve with cooked rice.
