Ingredients
4 Turkey cutlets
1 Egg
½ cup (125 mL) Water
½ cup (125 mL) Flour
2 tbsp (25 mL) Sesame Seeds
¼ tsp (1 mL) Salt
Freshly ground Pepper
Vegetable Oil
Sauce:
¾ cup (200 mL) Water
1 tbsp (15 mL) Corn Starch
4 tbsp (50 mL) Tequila
2 tbsp (25 mL) Triple Sec
½ tbsp (7 mL) Lime Juice
1 tsp (5 mL) Lime Zest
½ tbsp (7 mL) Sugar
Dash Salt
Drop Green Food Colouring
Lime Twists
Directions
Cut turkey cutlets in fingers. Beat together egg, water, flour, sesame seeds, salt and pepper. Dip turkey tenders in batter and fry in oil at 375°F (190°C). Drain and serve with Margarita Sauce. Prepare sauce by combining all ingredients except colouring and lime twist. Bring to boil and cook until thickened and clear. Stir in green food colouring. Pour into individual serving containers and garnish with lime twists. Serve as dipping sauce for Turkey Tenders.
