Turkey Tenderloins with Spiced Cranberry Sauce
- Ingredients
- 4 Turkey Tenderloins (1 ½ - 2 lbs/750 – 1000 g)
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) Butter
- 2 cups (500 mL) canned wholeberry Cranberry Sauce
- ½ tsp (2 mL) ground Cloves
- ¼ cup (50 mL) Granulated Sugar
- ½ cup (125 mL) diced Oranges or Mandarin Orange pieces
- Directions
- Brown tenderloins in butter in skillet on both sides. Lower heat to simmer, cover and cook about 20 minutes or until juices run clear. Remove tenderloins; keep warm. Pour off excess drippings. Add cranberry sauce, cloves and sugar to skillet. Heat over low heat until hot; add orange pieces, if desired. Spoon sauce over tenderloins to serve OR spoon some sauce onto serving plates and top with sliced tenderloin. Garnish with orange, if desired. Serve with wild or brown rice.
